The Scorpion King Movie Story - Synopsis. This Thriller was released on 2006 and directed by . Long ago, a warlord named Memnon believed he was destined to rule the people of the desert. With an army of barbarians at his command, he conquered everything, enslaving most of the people. He killed those who opposed him. Memnon's strategies were fierce and he never lost a battle. A few tribes stand between Memnon and the throne. Knowing Memnon's final strike is inevitable, the tribes unite against their common enemy by asking the services of Mathayus, a man used to killing and deprive Memnon of his last asset, a visionary woman. Entering Memnon's palace in the city of Gomorrah, Mathayus discovers that the evil leader's visionary is the beautiful Cassandra. He doesn't kill her, but takes Cassandra hostage.
